NASCLA Seeks to Advance the Construction Industry in the United States

A former resident of Charlotte, NC, real estate executive Richard Schwartz previously served as president of Charlotte-based Calloway Homes and as CEO of Pineville, NC-based Carolinas Premier Property Management. Currently, he leads as president of Village Park Homes in Hilton Head, SC. Dedicated to professionalism, Richard Schwartz recently passed the commercial contractors licensing test administered by the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies.

In addition to administering accredited examinations for contractors, the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) oversees an education program as part of its efforts to support and advance the construction industry in the United States. Through the program, NASCLA members can take advantage of webinars and training activities on a variety of topics.

The organization also hosts several in-person events throughout the year, including its Annual Conference. At the event, attendees can take part in general learning sessions as well as training programs designed for agency investigators and regulatory attorneys. Apart from educational offerings, the NASCLA Annual Conference features networking activities and the NASCLA National Awards ceremony luncheon.

The most recent NASCLA Annual Conference was held August 28-31, 2016. The organization is currently planning its 55th Annual Conference, which will take place at the Westin Denver Downtown hotel August 28-31, 2017. For more information, visit nascla.site-ym.com.
